CAAMA CENTRAL AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINAL MEDIA ASSOCIATION
The Central Australian Indigenous Media Association (CAAMA) began operations in 1980 and was the first Aboriginal group to be allocated a broadcasting license. The Aboriginal people of Central Australia own CAAMA through an association regulated under the Incorporations Act , and its objectives focus on the social, cultural and economic advancement of Aboriginal peoples.

Gadigal Information Service is home of Koori Radio 93.7FM Sydney’s only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander full-time community radio station, broadcasting 24hrs mix of local, International and assorted Indigenous music from around the world and across Australia. Australia’s principal national Indigenous newspaper, Koori Mail is ABC audited and read by tens of thousands of people nationwide every fortnight.
Koori Mail is 100 per cent Aboriginal owned and controlled, and reaches a guaranteed readership in every State and Territory.
We publish news and views on issues relating to Indigenous Australia, as well as specialist sections such as education, health and the arts.
Koori Mail offers an excellent advertising environment for those wanting to reach Indigenous Australians and those interested in Indigenous affairs. Koori Mail publishes an education supplement twice a year, and others canvassing health, business and more.

NATIONAL INDIGENOUS RADIO SERVICE (NIRS)
National Indigenous Radio Service (NIRS) is a national broadcasting
and online radio network that receives programs provided by its members
and affiliates via a central hub in Brisbane.
This national network provides this program via satellite to a network of
over 180 stations in all capital city, regional and remote communities across
Australia.
THE NIRS program schedule is made up of news, talkback, sport and cultural
programs contributed by First Nation broadcasters. As such this makes NIRS
the most effective voice for reaching and communicating with First Nations people.
NIRS is supported by government but depends for its continued operation on
advertising and sponsorship. NIRS offers a national rate card for this and also
provides a coordination and translation service for key message production for
campaigns from by government and the sector aimed primarily at Closing the
Gap between First Nations people and the Mainstream.

TEABBA MEDIA SERVICES
TEABBA Media Services, is a Not for Profit organisation which Project Objectives are to provide operational support for the 29 remote Indigenous broadcasting units in Aboriginal communities across the Top End of Australia. These Units are called Remote Indigenous Broadcasting Service (RIBS). These units house the radio and television electronic equipment.
These services are available through a satellite system. Most RIBS have an operator who does local radio shows in their community. These shows are often in language, relaying community announcements, interviewing visiting Government departments, weather and involving the school children.
